From the breathtaking landscapes of Exmoor National Park and the rugged wilderness of Dartmoor to the historic Cathedral City of Exeter, you’ll marvel at the range of beautiful locations across the South West.
Pennywell Farm
With a range of fun animal activities, farm rides, shows and displays there’s something to keep the whole family happy at Devon’s award-winning farm. Fancy yourself a real farm hand? You can help by milking goats and feeding lambs before finishing up with some cute-as-can-be pig cuddles. There’s fun to be had every single day of summer at Pennywell farm.
Exeter’s Underground Passages
A guided tour to discover what lies beneath Exeter’s High Street is one of the city’s most unusual visitor attractions but is completely suitable for children. They’ve been taking place since the 1930s and after a two-year closure, the Underground Passages are back open and better than ever. This fascinating network under the streets of Exeter is something not to be missed!
Occombe Farm
If you happen upon a bad weather day then have no fear because Occombe Farm is here! This is an all-weather family destination with unique play spaces both indoors and out. Of course, there are animals to see, including donkeys, cows, goats, sheep, chickens and more. And as an added kicker, when you visit the farm you’re contributing towards caring for Torbay’s most beautiful green spaces; supporting local conservation charity, Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust. Oh and there’s also a shop and cafe!
Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life
What better way to spend a family day out than by combining play, dressing up and trails? If that’s your idea of fun then you’ll love a trip to the Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life. One particular highlight is the Tivvy Bumper steam engine. And this summer the museum has a fun-packed summer of activities celebrating toys and childhood through the ages.
So if you can see, if you’re visiting one of our holiday homes in Devon, there’s plenty to keep the family occupied!
