Being so close to the lovely town of Newbury is a real blessing. Our Berkshire caravans are their own little village. But if you’d like a change of scenery Newbury is only 2.2 miles away.
It may only be small but it certainly has a lot going on. It packs a punch that’s for sure. The town has a great mix of independent and well known high street stores and some fabulous restaurants. It’s the start and end point for many walking and cycling trials so there’s a walk or bike ride for any ability. With plenty of pubs and restaurants to enjoy when you finish.
The town is also bursting with sites and attractions for history and architecture buffs to enjoy. The town’s corn exchange is a Grade II listed building and Highclere Castle, home to Downton Abbey, is located on the edge of town.
The Kennet & Avon canal also meanders through the town and the wharf is the perfect place for a picnic.

Another great day out is Newbury Racecourse. Located just 1 mile away from our Berkshire caravans, Newbury Racecourse is Berkshire’s premier course and race days happen most Saturdays, some Fridays and Tuesday; and are always a great opportunity to have a flutter and get dressed up.
Beyond Newsbury there’s loads of little pubs, lovely restaurants and exciting independent shops and delis to find. You can also find fishing, adventure parks, bowling and shooting in Berkshire. There’s no end of adventures to be had.
You’re just a hop, skip and a jump away from great city day trips
