Things to do around Groomsport
Once your in your new home at Seahaven Residential Park there is no shortage of things to do.

Cockle Row
See what life was like for a 20th century fisherman at Cockle Row
Cockle Row is a set of lovingly restored fishermen’s houses from the early 20th century. Built around 1910 the houses give visitors an insight into what life was like for local fishermen during the period.
The attraction, which is open from Easter to September, also has children’s craft stands, face painting and balloon modeling. For bird enthusiasts, two live video feeds have been set up to watch the local wildlife and there’s a small gift shop for those who want some mementos from their day out.

Take a day trip to Bangor
Bangor is right next to Groomsport and the town boasts a proud musical heritage alongside loads of shops, bars and restaurants. The town is the birthplace of Snow Patrol and Two Door Cinema club and has live music at the heart of its character.
If you’re looking for a night on the tiles and some enjoyable live music take a trip into Bangor. Just make sure you’ve brought your dancing shoes.

Walk along Ballyholme Beach
A suburban beach nestled on the edge of Bangor, Ballyholme Beach is a perfect pit stop on your way in or out of Bangor. The small beach is only 1.3km long but can provide a nice rest after a busy day and a chance to listen to the waves and ocean.
The beach has a carpark and public toilet situated at one end so it’s perfect for a beach picnic in the sun too.
