Find fossils in a UNESCO Heritage Site
South Devon is home to the western end of England’s Jurassic Coast. This protected area of Devon coastline is an important place for humans and animals and is even a UNESCO World Heritage Site The Jurassic Coast is an impressive 96.5 miles long and is the perfect place for those looking to find fossils. The most common kind of fossils found on the Devon coast are corals and crinoids but you may be lucky enough to find Jurassic ammonites, brachiopods, and prehistoric fish.

Hartland Abbey & Gardens
This stately home and its surrounding gardens is like stepping back in time. Situated in a beautiful valley just one mile from Hartland Quay, Hartland Abbey can be found on the North West Devon coast, and makes for a wonderful day out.. The award-winning house, with its fascinating interiors and decoration, beautiful woodland walks, walled gardens and parkland, has been in the same family ownership for generations and has even become a popular filming location.
